Political/Animal Transition
Yesterday I mentioned the site Memepool going silent. Perhaps it has done so simply because Google and YouTube and the like have made it so easy to find wacky stuff online without an aggregator — sometimes even when you’re not trying. After I heard that sometime political writer John Carney had reported on a particularly heinous-looking car, my quick efforts to search for something like “car John Carney clusterstock” didn’t immediately cough up a photo of the goofy car, but they did yield this as the first picture, oddly enough.
If our May 6 animal welfare debate sparks open warfare between humans and animals, I expect many such scenes to follow.
