					<description>I'm starting to think that X vs. Y differences -- and how it affects their social networks -- might be a big theme of _Conservatism for Punks_, much as I hate to frighten you into thinking you have to wait for the long-delayed book to read more on the topic.  I'll try to hit on the topic before then.

On a related note, given how easily self-interest reshapes ideologies, I predict that both liberalism and conservatism will suddenly "discover" that caring for and honoring the elderly is the chief duty of civilization, right around the time we realize that all government revenue has to be poured into Social Security and Medicare.</description>
