Koli sounds VERY smart! Which seems to be a top requirement when dealing with a smarty like Todd, anyway.

But not funny in any of the ways it was *trying* to be funny. Funny strictly in a laughing-at-not-laughing-with kind of way.

I expressed my view weeks ago that the 'real' Galactus was a particularly silly design and that I had no real desire to see it rendered onscreen, and Todd's still speaking to me.

Koli might not care about the desecration of Galactus, but I can assure you I will be addressing the issue, most likely in an early-August retrospective of my comic-collecting years, and boycotting the film.

It seems to me the only thing that could really damage the relationship is if you said it was just fine that they turned Galactus into a cloud for the latest FF movie.

I'm much too swamped to visit New Hampshire in the near future but have enough time to explain the kids-aversion more fully -- in the next blog entry, so check it out...

So, Todd, when does your oldest -- in terms of duration (I almost wrote "endurance") -- liberal, feminist female friend get to meet your new liberal, feminist girlfriend? We'd love to see you in New Hampshire, where the scientific consensus on climate change, constitutional law, how to get there from here, and pretty much everything else is still up for healthy debate. Also, Isaac's "ignorance and ear-splitting shrieks" are really quite endearing.
